CreateA is a contemporary arts program based in Bendigo, Victoria — where creativity, collaboration, and inclusion come together.

We explore and create new work across performing arts, visual arts, film, lighting, media, sound, and music technology. Whether you're an experienced artist, a school leaver finding your creative path, or someone discovering the arts for the first time, CreateA offers space, support, and inspiration to express yourself and connect with others.

Since 2002, CreateA has provided meaningful opportunities for people with disability to engage in contemporary arts practice and to share their work with the wider community. Over the years, we've built strong partnerships with artists, arts organisations, and community groups who are passionate about inclusion and celebrating the diversity of creative voices in our community.

Our partnership with Bendigo Venues & Events gives CreateA access to a working theatre in the historic The Engine Room on View Street — a space where ideas come to life and performances shine.

CreateA is auspiced by Golden City Support Services, an organisation committed to community-based support that helps individuals connect, participate, and thrive through creative expression.
